Skilled Weld Technician (Day Shift/Night Shift)

Due to our continued success Tiger is looking to recruit experienced Skilled Weld Technicians to join our dedicated team.

Recruiting for day shift Monday - Friday 7.30am-4.30pm and night shift Monday - Friday 9.00pm-6.00am

Key Objectives

As a skilled Weld Technician, you will play a key role in producing a finished trailer or vehicle body to the highest level of quality in Tiger Trailer's new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Working with various materials including a range of steels. This role will include welding assemblies to a high level of quality. Analysing technical drawings and specification sheets and be able to identify weld symbols. You will be responsible for carrying out precise measurements and accurately marking out. You must be able to select the correct materials and be skilled in cutting materials by burning, disc cutting or by machine. A high level of skill is required to perform various tasks including assembly of parts, drilling, cutting, riveting, welding and grinding.

Skilled Weld Technicians offer technical support throughout the factory and office, playing a valuable role in the continuous advancement of both product development and Tigers Manufacturing Operating Systems (TMOS). Skilled Weld Technicians have the opportunity to pass on their knowledge to Apprentices and Weld Technicians both in their production stages as well as in one of Tigers state of the art Training facilities.

The role provides proactive responsibility to drive performance in key areas of quality, Skill and Personnel development through the Tiger Manufacturing Operating System (TMOS) through a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.
